BIG RUN — The former Little Canada Bar & Grill was completely destroyed by a fire early Friday morning along Filtering Plant Road in Big Run.
The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. Friday and was fully involved with heavy fire and smoke showing from the windows as firefighters arrived on the scene.
The vacant structure, which years ago had housed the Little Canada Bar & Grill along with numerous other bars and restaurants, was converted into a residence several years ago.

Punxsutawney Borough Emergency Management Coordinator Charlie Hoeh said that people who live in a flood plain never think about preparing for a flood until the water is rising up the front steps. So the time to prepare is right now.
