On Wednesday, Punxsutawney Borough Police released the identity of a man struck by a car at the intersection of S. Gilpin and W. Mahoning streets at 1:43 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said that a 2006 Aerio driven by Andreana Bump of Meadville was traveling west on W. Mahoning Street, then turned left onto S. Gilpin Street behind an unknown vehicle.
Bump failed to see William Stiles Sr. of Punxsutawney, who was in the roadway, and her car struck Stiles on the right front portion.

Members of the Punxsutawney Fire Department were called to assist with flooding that occurred at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center at 411 West Mahoning St., Punxsutawney, at 9:14 p.m. on Sunday. Firefighters assisted the staff with shutting off the water mains when pipes burst, flooding the one wing. All of the patients in that wing were evacuated to other parts of the facility. Wilma F. Jones, 86, of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born June 21, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Olive (Lott) and Henry Wolfe.
On Dec. 24, 1949, she married the late Joseph H. Jones.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, being outside on her deck, baking cookies and doing crossword puzzles.
Clara V. â€śVivâ€ť Lewis Cornman, 84, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Saint Vincent Hospital.
She was born in Michigan Heights, Michigan, on Oct. 1, 1930, a daughter of the late Phillip and Nettie C. Manners Lewis.
Viv was a loving and devoted homemaker who loved spending time caring for her family.
She had previously been employed by the former Marx Toy Co. She enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and going to yard sales.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Albert H. â€śBertâ€ť Cornman; and her 12 brothers and sisters.
Joseph â€śEggyâ€ť Adams Jr., 90, of Timblin, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1924, in Oakridge, a son of the late Mary (Nolf) and Joseph Adams Sr.
On June 18, 1955, he married Evelyn (Dinger) Adams, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Joseph worked at Sharon Steel for 30 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.
Mrs. Lois Jean McGee, 81, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014.
She was born Oct. 27, 1933, the daughter of the late Irvin F. and Edna Wachob Giffin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen McGee, on Sept. 26, 2014.
Her career was as an educator in the public schools.
She is survived by four sons, Charles McGee Jr. and wife Janet, Tom McGee and wife Claudette, Tim McGee and wife Karen and Mike McGee and his wife Nancy; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
