April 11, 2014

It may have been rainy and gloomy outside, but the “World's Biggest Easter Egg Hunt,” held at the First Assembly of God on Friday evening, was still a massive success, with this year’s hunt taking place in the church and in the gym.

A total of 3,000 eggs were hidden, and kids who attended were also treated to some tasty snacks and a puppet show and had the chance to win some great prizes.

Pictured is Allen Martell Sr. holding his two little ones, Allen Jr., age 1, (left) and Exzander, who is just a month old. It was the first Easter egg hunt for both.

Community pulling together for boy in need of heart transplant

April 9, 2014

However, as parents, we learn that when our children are faced with adversity, we must be strong, and for 5-year-old Brayden Wyant strength is a character trait both he and his parents must continue to display.

For Brayden's story, and to see how you can help, see Thursday's print edition of The Spirit.
