Martha Lucille â€śLucyâ€ť Stephanic, 82, of Rochester Mills, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 13, 1932, in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Raymond U. and Violet M. Schrack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stephanic, who passed away in 1997; a brother, Raymond G. Schrack; and sisters Elizabeth Stephens and Evelyn â€śPeepâ€ť Clouser.

Sidewalk Prophets is a popular contemporary Christian band, and the proceeds from the concert will go toward benefitting the school.
The concert is scheduled for June.

Erlamon D. (Beatty) Kovach, 90, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Kovach was born May 12, 1923, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Harry and Lenora (Summerville) Beatty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kovach. They were married April 17, 1943.
She attended the St. Peters United Church of Christ.
Erlamon loved city life. She and her husband, Charles, traveled the world together and lived many exciting places, eventually returning to Punxsutawney and enjoying time with her family.
Clara Jane Rossi, 86, of Wilora Lake Road, Charlotte, N.C., passed away early Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Novant Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born in Cloe, Pa., on Nov. 30, 1927, a daughter of the late Ward and Ersie Haag Bargerstock.
She worked for Rochester Telephone.
Survivors include two brothers, Harry Bargerstock and wife Marie of Franklinville, N.C., and Fred and wife Gladys of Ontario, N.Y.
Final arrangements were handled by Wilson Funeral and Cremation Services.

PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” Dick Magolis is a recognizable face.
You may recognize him for his volunteer work throughout the community, or perhaps you have seen him helping out at First Church of God.
The Punxsutawney Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations to replace the bulbs and wiring on the winter snowflake lights with new, brighter LED bulbs.
The current lights around town (pictured here) have a dimmer, warm white LED bulb that doesn't show up as well as the brighter bulbs would.

PUNXSUTAWNEY â€”Â Last week, Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrest of Michael Paul Guthrie, 42, Brookville, in association with a narcotics investigation that discovered the alleged manufacturing of methamphetamine in Jefferson County after a search
was executed at Guthrie's Manor Lane, Brookville residence.
On Wednesday, police said in an addition to the report that two more arrests had been made on Tuesday in association with the case.
