If you ever wondered what a digital movie projector looks like, here's a sneak peek at the new NEC projector that was recently installed at the Jackson Theater in the Punxsutawney Area Community Center (PACC).
Pictured (from left) are Rob McCoy, PACC executive director; Teresa Neal, secretary, PACC Board of Directors; and John Test, PACC projector operator.
McCoy said they've shown two digital movies already, but this weekend is the actual grand opening.
BROOKVILLE — Jefferson County District Attorney Jeff Burkett has filed a notice of aggravating circumstances against Michael Christopher Shugars, Punxsutawney, the defendant in the case of the alleged murder of Chet

The notice of aggravating circumstances means that, in the event that Shugars is found guilty of murder in the first-degree, the commonwealth intends to seek the death penalty.
The district attorney’s office confirmed on Thursday that it had filed the notice, a copy of which was submitted to The Spirit by the prothonotary’s office.
