PSP-Punxsy seeks help in locating missing family members

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police said in a report issued Monday afternoon that the station is currently conducting an investigation into the case of four family members missing since Sunday around 10 p.m.

Police said the missing are Lisa Marie Braughler, 41; Maria Jane Martin, 5; Lucas Reese Martin, 1; and Carolyn Ruth McGuown, 69.

Investigators believe that the individuals were in the northeast area of Indiana County and the Jefferson County area on Sunday.

Firefighters respond to Wendy’s for mulch fire

Punxsutawney firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the wall at Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers on Hampton Avenue at 6:48 p.m. Monday.

Firefighters from Central, Elk Run and Lindsey responded to the scene and verified there was smoke coming from the wall in the northeast corner of the building.

Following an interior investigation with thermal imaging cameras, it was discovered that the smoke originated from the building's exterior,
