Donald K. Schrock, Jr., 53, of Jay, Maine, passed away on Feb. 11, 2013, following complications from a life-long illness of primary immune deficiency disease.
He was born on July 27, 1957, in North Tonawanda, N.Y., the son of Donald (Kerm) and Janet (Kiehl) Schrock, Sr. of Winthrop, Maine, and both formerly of Punxsutawney.
He was the grandson of Gene and Hazel (Stahlman) Kiehl and Ezra and Jeanette (Snyder) Schrock, all life-long residents of the Punsxy area until their passings.
Music in the Park for 2013 kicked off Thursday night in Barclay Square with the classic rock band Crisis.
Thankfully, there was not a drop of rain in sight, and attendees relaxed in their lawnchairs while enjoying the free concert.

It's time to fight back against cancer, and this Saturday, the American Cancer Society will be holding its annual Relay for Life in Barclay Square.
Participating in this event, among other groups, will be the Betty's Angels Relay Team, which will be holding its 1st Annual Footprints for Hope, 5K Run/Walk, at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in Barclay Square.
Race day registration will run from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m., with all proceeds from this event being donated to cancer research.

PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” PennDOT would like to remind travelers that Route 36 in Punxsutawney Borough, which was scheduled to close on July 8, will now close on July 29, due to delays in utility moves as a result of the recent flooding.
Beginning Monday, July 29, Route 36 (West Mahoning Street) will be closed between the intersections of Walnut Street and Foundry Street for the replacement of the bridge carrying Route 36 over Sawmill Run.
A detour will be in place using Route 436 and Route 119. This detour will be in place until November of this year.
