REYNOLDSVILLE — With the warmer weather finally upon us and signs of spring and summer popping up daily, many folks are starting to do their spring cleaning, and a part of that process is often putting away some of the things that aren't used as much in the warmer months. One of these things that comes to mind is blankets.

PAHS inducts its latest members into National Honor Society

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Students who were inducted into the National Honor Society were honored at the annual banquet that is put on by Rotary Club of Punxsutawney Thursday at the Punxsutawney Country Club.

"The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise," said Dave London, principal of Punxsutawney Area High School and Rotary Club member.

London said, speaking to the members of the National Honor Society, that as they become young professionals somewhere, he hopes they'll consider joining a Rotary Club.

Dorothy A. Miglicio, 85

Dorothy A. Miglicio, 85, of York, Pa., and formerly of Warren, Pa., died May 5, 2013, at 7:05 a.m. at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown, Pa., York County.

Dorothy was the spouse of the late Francis A. Miglicio, who died in 2008.
She was born Aug. 21, 1927, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late Frank and Dora (Kaylor) Handyside.

Dorothy was a retired cashier for the Baltimore Life Insurance Co. in Warren, and she retired in 1988 after 30 years of service.

She was a 1945 graduate of Punxsutawney High School.
