February 20, 2013

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The second night of the annual boys' elementary basketball tourney saw a contrast on the scoreboard.

In the two opening tilts Tuesday, the sixth-grade matchups lit up the lights in seven-point finals.

Michigan State netted 15 and 16 points in its halves and held a lead over Florida by as many as 20 points before taking the 31-24 win.

With almost as many points as the first contest, LSU bested Michigan State in each half of the second game to take away a 27-20 win.
