Jeff Tech evacuated temporarily after bathroom bomb threat

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP — Students were temporarily evacuated from the Jefferson County-DuBois Area Vocational-Technical School at 576 Vo Tech Rd. in Winslow Township on Monday morning as the result of a bomb threat written on the bathroom wall.

DuBois-based Pennsylvania State Police reported Monday that the threat was reported at 9:25 a.m. and that the actors are undetermined.

Police said the actors wrote, "There are bombs in the school," in a restroom area of the school.

The school was temporarily evacuated, and a state police explosives dog was brought to the scene.

The final number rolls in for Pizza & Prevention

On Monday, Scott Anthony of Fox's Pizza Den in Punxsutawney announced the final totals for the 12th annual Pizza & Prevention fundraiser that was held on Saturday.

Anthony said there were 5,392 pizzas and pizza coupons sold and $1,600 in tips for a total of $50,721.12.
