Jake M. Caylor, 78

Jake M. Caylor, 78, of DuBois, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Montifore in Pittsburgh.

He was born Feb. 15, 1934, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Clarence and Radie (Mauk) Caylor.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In 1961, he married Josephine “Jo” M. (Yeafol) Caylor. She survives.

He retired from McLean Publishing Company, working at the DuBois Courier-Express, after 43 years of service.

Donald J. “Jim” Hemke, 62

Donald J. “Jim” Hemke, 62, Reynoldsville, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Sept. 8, 1950, in Pittsburgh, a son of Charles L. and Mary Ellen (Williams) Hemke.

On June 16, 1974, he married Peggy J. (Cordaro) Hemke, who survives.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Paradise, Pa.

He was employed by the S & S Coal Company for over 40 years as a heavy equipment operator.

He enjoyed muzzleloader hunting, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Arthur Glenn Wyant, 80

Arthur Glenn Wyant, 80, of New Bethlehem, died Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2013, at Clarion Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1932, in Porter Township, Clarion County, a son of A. Banks and Gladys G. (Burns) Wyant.

He married Imogene L. (Powell) on June 11, 1954.

Art graduated from New Bethlehem High School in 1951.

He farmed all of his life.

He also served in the United States Army from March 1958 to March 1960, and then with the Army Reserve until February 1964.
