A Very Queer Proceeding on the Part of Two Hungarians
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” A local company celebrated its first anniversary of providing Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to the Punxsutawney area this past week with a reception at the Punxsutawney Country Club.
July 4, 2011, "O" Ring CNG Fuel Systems L.P. declared fuel energy independence for itself and a fleet of 16 vehicles, said owner Robert H. Beatty, Jr.
BROOKVILLE â€” Five days prior to Sunday's Game 5 in the Federation League semi-finals, Rossiter chased Brookville's starting pitcher after 3-2/3 innings en route to a 5-2 victory that evened the series. Sunday evening, facing elimination, Rossiter hoped to do the same with the same result, as Bell matched up with Rossiter starter Sean Smith for the second time in the series.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” The Punxsy 15 and 16 year old VFW squad lost to a tough Clearfield team, 23-8 over four innings, Sunday afternoon. With the win, Clearfield claimed the Indiana County title.
Punxsy came into the game off an impressive win over Phillipsburg Saturday. Punxsy won that game 12-0 off the bats of Anthany Faulk, who scored a triple, Bycen Paulinelli, who recorded a double, and Michael Klingensmith, who put one out of the park to help bring in a win for his squad.
RoseAnn Sloniger, 72, Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.Â
She was born April 9, 1940, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late James Salvaggio and Angelina (Peratto) Salvaggio.
Dec. 4, 1958, she married Thomas L. Sloniger, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sloniger was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Church.
She loved gardening, shopping trips and camping at Allegheny National Forest for family reunions, but most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
