PUNXSUTAWNEY — We are "down to the wire" as far as Christmas shopping is concerned, while the band Down to the Wire is just getting wound up with the annual "Milk Can Jam" to be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Punxsutawney Eagles.
"We are celebrating 25 years of the classic Down to the Wire band consisting of Dom Catanzarito, bass; Joe Serian, lead vocals; Kevin Cielo, keyboard and vocals; and myself, guitars," said Matt Taladay, spokesperson for Down to the Wire.
Taladay said that Brian Rowan will be the drummer for the band on Sunday, but was not part of the original band.
This vehicle driven by Tyler Kuntz of Punxsutawney was traveling on Graffius Avenue Extension in Bell Township at 12:55 a.m. Friday, when Kuntz lost control on the snow-covered roadway and slid into a ditch, causing extensive damage to his vehicle.
Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police were assisted at the scene by the Elk Run Volunteer Fire Company, McCalmont Towship Volunteer Fire Company with Quick Response Service (QRS), Jefferson County EMS and Rebuck's South Side Service.
