Harold W. Schurr, 82

Harold W. Schurr, 82, passed into heaven in the early morning of Nov. 23, 2012, at Lillington Hospice with his bride, Annabell, by his side.

He was born on July 29, 1930, in Home, Pa., a son of George and Blanche Schurr.

Harold served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1951 during the Korean War, leaving with an honorable discharge.

He then joined the B&O Railroad and retired after 33 years of service.

He and his wife then decided to move to Sanford, N.C., to enjoy their retirement years.

Harold loved to fish and enjoyed several years of fishing in local lakes.
