PUNXSUTAWNEY — A Brookville man suffered moderate injuries following a motorcycle-versus-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Dutchtown Road and Route 36/North Main Street.
Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police said Andrew M. Duncan, 35, Punxsy, was stopped at a stop sign at the Dutchtown Road and Route 36/North Main Street intersection, while Thomas E. Curry, 52, Brookville, was traveling north on a 2010 Harley-Davidson Street Glide.
Police said Duncan pulled into the intersection and into Curry’s path.

This year saw all seven acts, including The Moore Brothers, Rocky Top, The Del Sinchak Band, The LaVelles, The Sharp Tones, G3 and Midlife Crisis — perform before packed Barclay Square audiences during a summer when the weather never chased any of the performances indoors.
PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney girls' golf team opened its regular season Thursday afternoon at the Punxsutawney Country Club with a victory over Cranberry and Clarion, 222-236-256, respectively.
"This was the first time we've ever played Clarion and Cranberry," Punxsy head coach Katie Irwin said. "So, the girls were a little nervous, but they worked hard and pulled it off as a team. I'm very proud of them."
Each team sent six girls off the tees and counted the four lowest scores.
PUNXSUTAWNEY — Coming off a record-setting year, Punxsutawney's boys' soccer team has high hopes for another season to match, or even top, last year's, but there's a disadvantage to having a program with a reputation: People know you're coming.
Kimberly A. Gloden, 53, Punxsutawney, formerly of Springdale, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
She was born Aug. 29, 1957, in Natrona Heights, a daughter of Elsie Baksis of Springdale and the late Robert Dehus.
Ms. Gloden was affiliated with the Walston Club in Punxsutawney and enjoyed cooking, painting, motorcycles, and watching home interior and real estate shows on television.
