Dorothy M. Neal, 96, Punxsutawney (Frostburg), passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 8, 1915, in Coolspring, a daughter of the late Jesse and Cora (Huffman) Smith.
She was married to Harvey Neal, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Neal was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed quilting, gardening and time with her family.

PUNXSUTAWNEY â Fifteen Fresh Air Fund kids â between six and 18 years of age â arrived at SS.C.D. Tuesday.
The boys and girls were welcomed with open arms from local host families for a fun-filled week or more mini-vacation.
Some of the youngsters left their New York City homes for the first time, while others returned to visit the same host family for consecutive summers.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â Brodi Lowmaster's powerful pitching and John J Fisher Post 62 of Punxsutawney's lethal lineup were on display Tuesday night at Rich Kuntz Memorial Field in Punxsutawney.
Lowmaster struck out nine through five innings, and both Tyler Skerkavich and Braedon Pennington hit convincing home runs during Punxsy's 13-2 victory over the Clearfield Chiefs in the first round of the Jefferson County American Legion baseball playoffs.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â With Tuesday night's down- to-the-wire win over St. Marys, the Punxsy Little League baseball All-Stars earned another shot at DuBois.
Punxsy, which dropped to the losers' bracket with an 11-1 loss in five innings to DuBois last Sunday, scored nine runs during the first three innings and made some clutch plays defensively Tuesday to edge St. Marys, 10-8.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â With the game tied at two, St. Marys scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning and never looked back, going on to defeat Punxsy 7-5 in the Minor League softball All-Star tournament Tuesday night in Punxsutawney.
"That was the one bad inning we had," Punxsy manager Steve White said. "We had some walks, and we threw the ball around a bit. It was good to see that we were able to fight through it, regroup and fight and claw back. It obviously just wasn't enough, though."

11:30 a.m. to noon â Balloons The Clown.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â The Punxsutawney Eagle Riders motorcycle club its revving up for its first-ever âBurrow Thunderâ Saturday.
The 76-mile trip â which will be held rain or shine â departs from the F.O. Eagles No. 1231 parking lot.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the ride departing at noon and returning by 5 p.m.
