IT TOOK TWO MEN TO TAKE HIM DOWN

November 26, 2011

Local hunters Dave Poerio (left), of Punxsutawney, owner of Almost Heaven Outfitters LLC based out of Frostburg, and Robert Wheary (right), of Clymer, tag-teamed bagging this 13-point, 240-pound deer with a 20-inch inside spread last week at Almost Heaven Outfitters' bow-hunting-only eight-square mile lease in Wyoming County, W.V. Wheary was the first to hit the monster with an arrow. Poerio put a second arrow in it, and Wheary finished it off after the two, with help from their friend Frank-Steve Kovash (not pictured), of Nanty Glo, who assisted in finding and landing the buck.
