Douglas S. “Tut” Toth, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, after spending an amazing weekend with his family.

He was a son of Harry P. and Lois Jean (Stanford) Toth.

Mr. Toth was married to Rhonda Toth.

He was known for his love of sports and coaching abilities, the love of hunting and the outdoors, and his caring heart and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Mr. Toth served the youth of the area as a softball, baseball, basketball and soccer coach through the years.

Paul H. Beck, 86

Paul H. Beck, 86, Route 119, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born April 21, 1924, in Winslow Township, a son of the late Cleveland L. and Mary (Lindemuth) Beck.

May 25, 1957, he married the former Nora Lorraine Wachob, who survives.

Mr. Beck previously worked for Gaston Lumber.

He was a member of the Henderson Grange No. 1315 and the Ponoma Grange. He volunteered for the Jefferson County Fair for many years since the 1960s, when it was located in Sykesville and called the Town & Country Fair.
