Steve Abrams (left) of the “Outreach Lecture Program” from the University of Pennsylvania presented a puppet show based on Aesop’s Fables as a reward for the children that participated in the Punxsutawney Memorial Library’s Summer Reading Program. Shown is Abrams and a toucan puppet which was pretending to bite the noses of several children during the program Friday at the Harmon Field pavilion. Following the show, the children enjoyed a lunch of pizza, cake and swimming at the George C. Brown Community Pool, courtesy of the library. (Photo by Larry McGuire/The Punxsutawney Spirit)
